Media reports said that sexual harassment allegations were proved against Federal Service Tribunal member Sikandar Ismail.
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd April, 2019) A member of Federal Service Tribunal was suspended over harassment allegations.
Media reports said that sexual harassment allegations were proved against Federal Service Tribunal member Sikandar Ismail.
Upon finding Islamabad Club’s management committee member Sikandar Ismail guilty of harassing a female club employee, Federal Ombudsperson Kashmala Tariq had decided fine him with Rs1 million along with permanent disbarment from holding any position within the club.
President Dr Arif Alvi has issued orders for his immediate suspension.
Sikandar Ismail’s membership has been suspended for six months.
A female employee of the Club had lodged a complaint with National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) Ismail, accusing him of harassing her when she refused to kowtow to his alleged “unethical and immoral advances”.
“On September 21, 2017, he exceeded all limits when he detained me at the administrator’s office for more than an hour and engaged me in irrelevant and immoral conversation about his private life and used suggestive and extremely vulgar language. I could finally rescue myself after one and-a-half-hour when another employee walked into the office,” she had alleged in her complaint.
Moreover, Sikander Ismail was appointed as general manager of the club for Rs 0.7 million per month while his predecessor was getting Rs 250,000 monthly for the same position.
