FIA Arrests Man Over Hundi Business

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2018 ) ::The FIA Faisalabad has arrested the owner of a prize bond shop on the charges of running an illegal business of Hundi/Hawala.

An FIA spokesman said here Sunday that a team conducted a raid at Habib prize bonds, situated at Main Bazaar Bhera district Sargodha and found its owner Ghulam Hasnain of Alipur Sayyadan, Sargodha, involved in illegal business of Hundi/Hawala.

The FIA team arrested the accused and recovered foreign currencies including 454 Saudi Riyals, 3,000 Euro, 240 UAE Dirham, two Omani Riyal, 863,200 prize bonds and Pak Currency worth 700,800.

The FIA registered a case under sections 4, 5, 8, 23 of Foreign Exchange Regulations Act (FERA) 1947 and further investigation was underway.
