FIA Seals Printing Press, Arrests Three Accused In Faisalabad

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested three accused and sealed a printing press for violating the Copyright Ordinance.
The FIA spokesman said that the agency conducted a raid at Ilyas Abbas Printing Press in Sidhupura on a complaint of Haji Amir Iqbal, CEO of Hawk Eye Company and authorized representative of Unique Educational Publishers.
The team recovered 790 pirated and copied text series "Takhleeq", the copyright of which were reserved with the Unique Educational Publishers.
The team also arrested Muhammad Abbas, an owner of the printing press, Azizur Rehman, an employee and Ejaz Hussain, a distributor and commission agent, besides sealing the printing press.
A case has been registered against the accused under section 56, 66, 66-A and 67 of The Copyright Ordinance 1962 and section 109 of Pakistan Penal Code.
