Five Pak Cueists To Depart For Egypt On Tuesday

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jul, 2017 ) : Five Pakistani cueists would depart for Egypt on Tuesday to participate in IBSF World 6 Red & Team Snooker Championship. The five cueists include Muhammad Sajjad, Asjad Iqbal, Babar Masih, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Naseem Akhtar.
Nisar Ali Bhagat will accompany the team as Manager. Talking to APP during training in Islamabad, cueist Babar Masih urged departments to come forward and provide jobs to players as to make a living from the game.
Babar expressed disappointment for not getting proper recognition by higher authorities.
"Pakistan cricket team won Champions Trophy and each player have been receiving unlimited rewards from various platforms but when it comes to honor national cueists none from any platform has come forward," he said.
He said if national cueists and the game of snooker would not get proper acknowledgment then the game would fade in the days to come. Speaking about the Snooker Championship, Babar said all players are very well prepared for the mega event. He said we got excellent facilities in Pakistan sports Complex, Islamabad," he said.
