
Full-scale Crackdown Against Kite Flyers And Kite Flying Equipment Sellers

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2025) As per the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chiniot Police is conducting a full-scale crackdown against kite flyers and sellers of kite flying equipments.
District Police Officer Chiniot Abdullah Ahmed has formed special teams to prevent kite flying across the district.
Acting on a tip-off, Chenab Nagar Police on Saturday arrested two accused selling kite flying equipment and flying kites. The Kites and chemical strings were recovered from the possession of the accused. A case has been registered against the accused in Chenab Nagar Police Station under the Kite Flying Act.
In this regard, District Police Officer Abdullah Ahmed said that the Chiniot Police is also conducting an awareness campaign to prevent kite flying. Announcements are being made in mosques across the district regarding the prevention of kite flying. Citizens are being informed on social media about the implications of kite flying and the prevention of kite flying. While demonstrating civic responsibility, wherever you see kite flyers or kite flying equipment being sold, do your duty and report it on emergency number 15.
