Function To Mark Independence Day Celebrations

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th August, 2016) : As a part of 14-day Independence Day celebrations, under the auspices of the District Municipal Corporation (DMC) South, a function was held at Jamshed Ahmed Khan School, Hijrat Colony, here on Wednesday. Commissioner Karachi, Ejaz Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commissioner Karachi South, Muhammad Saleem Rajput, Administrator DMC South, Muhammad Naeem Sindhu, Director Education South, Shoaib Alam, teachers and students attended the ceremony.

The students presented national songs, tableau, and a band played national songs. Commissioner Karachi presented cash prizes for students who presented band display as well as to the scouts. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the students to pay attention towards acquiring education in order to serve the country in an effective manner in the years ahead. The DMC South distributed national flags, badges, T-shirts and caps among the students of the school.
