Funeral Prayer Of Martyred DC Panjgur Offered

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Aug, 2024) The funeral prayer of martyred Deputy Commissioner (DC) Panjgur Zakir Baloch was offered in Quetta on Tuesday.

The body of the martyr wrapped in the Pakistani flag was saluted and flowers were offered.

Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandukhel, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Corps Commander Balochistan Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmad Khan, provincial ministers and senior civil and military officials participated in the funeral prayer.

The body of the martyr was sent to his native town for burial with full honor.

However, the DC Panjgur was shot dead by unknown armed men on National Highway near Khada-Kucha area of Mastung on Monday night.

After the incident, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the incident of firing and directed concerned official to take strict action those anti-peace elements involved in the killing of the DC and arrest them soon to provide justice to family of the martyred DC.

He also expressed his sorrow on the martyred of the DC Panjgur and prayed for early recovery of the injured.

The chief minister said that nefarious design of terrorism would be foiled through contribution of security forces and public in order to ensure protection of public live and their property.
