KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jan, 2019 ) :The funeral prayer of 22 years old Traffic Constable Ehtesham Ahmed s/o Mohammad Irfan, allegedly shot dead by outlaws in Garden East area, was held here at Police Headquarters on Monday.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Dr Syed Kaleem Imam and other senior officials including Additional IGP-Karachi, Dr Amir Shaikh, colleagues and bereaved family members attended the prayer.

Bullet riddled body of a 22 year old Ehtesham, posted at the intersection of Quaid e Azam mausoleum, was recovered from Nishtar Road on Sunday evening.

The IGP assuring all needed assistance to the bereaved family had earlier ordered inquiry to ascertain the facts coupled with needed measures to avert instances compromising security of the cops.

Imam said that the spirit of the department in face of ongoing police operation against criminals can not be deterred through such attempts.
