FWO reopens KKH after four days at Lower Kohistan

KOHISTAN, Nov 4(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Nov, 2018 ) ::Frontier Works Organization (FWO) has cleared the road for traffic and removed the debris after four days of blockage caused by the land sliding at Karakoram Highway (KKH) Lower Kohistan.

Thousands of the vehicles were stuck after land sliding triggered by the heavy downpour from Pattan to Sholgara at Lower Kohistan said the officials.

KKH not only provide link between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan but also the only land connection with China had remained suspended for the last four days.

FWO reopened the KKH after a struggle of four days which eased the traffic issues of GB and Kohistan areas of Khyber Phaktunkhawa.

Thousands of vehicles and stranded passengers those have stuck in the road blockage for four days have left for their respective destinations across country.
