GB Chief Court Disposes Over 980 Cases In One Year

Chief Court Gilgit Baltistan is providing prompt and inexpensive justice to masses, disposing of 981 cases during last year, says public relation officer of the court.
GILGIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2018 ) :Chief Court Gilgit Baltistan is providing prompt and inexpensive justice to masses, disposing of 981 cases during last year, says public relation officer of the court.
Of total cases, 286 are criminal cases, 505 land cases and 109 are writ petitions which were disposed of during January 2017 to December 2017. The GB's top court constituted single and divisional benches to resolve these cases and provided swift justice to people and ensured rule of law.
During the this period a total of 1453 cases were instituted including 313 criminal, 853 land related cases and 287 writ petitions to the chief court of Gilgit Baltistan.
The information officer said Chief Judge Wazir Shakil Ahmed led single and divisional bench to hear cases on daily basis and dispose the pending cases in shortest possible time and provide inexpensive justice to people.
He said that Skardu registry bench was also effectively resolving cases and the total number of aforementioned cases also included those disposed of by it during the last year.
