ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Nov, 2018 ) :Snowfall coupled with clod breeze following recent intermittent rain spell in almost all upper areas of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) including Astore have caused problems for the area people.

According to reports received here on Monday, snowfall that occurred in Astore, Skardu, Chillas and adjacent areas have stopped but the cold has gripped these areas and temperature in hilly has drastically dropped.

Three feet of snowfall was recorded in Deosai followed by one foot in Rama and adjacent areas in recent rains.

Thus people have demanded the concerned authorities to stop shopkeepers from artificial price hike especially of firewood and take an action against businessmen cashing the situation.

They demanded the government to provide them enough wheat before the closing of roads due to snowfall.
