Ghulam Sarwar Has Fake BA Degree: Disqualification Petition Filed Against Petroleum Minister In SC

The minister got the degree of someone with the same name, the petition stated.

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th January, 2019) A disqualification petition has been filed against Minister for Petroleum and National Resources Ghulam Sarwar Khan in the Supreme Court.

According to media reports, the petitioner adopted that Ghulam Sarwar is only Matric pass and possesses a fake bachelor’s degree.

The minister got the degree of someone with the same name, the petition stated.

The petition that such a person should not be given a ministry as he does not qualify to be ‘Sadiq and Ameen’.

The petroleum minister is already in hot waters for the acute gas shortage facing the country.

The minister assures the country that necessary measures are being adopted to overcome the existing gas shortage, adding that the transmission and distribution system is also being upgraded to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas to the consumers.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Ghulam Sarwar Khan had won election from National Assembly constituency NA-63 and NA-59 in the general elections, 2018.

He was later given the portfolio of Ministry for Petroleum and National Resources.
