Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th April, 2019) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ghulam Sarwar Khan has denied reports that he refused to take new ministry of Aviation.
Earlier there were reports that after reshuffling in the cabinet by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Ghulam Sarwar Khan was given the ministry of Aviation in place of petroleum ministry but he refused to take it. He was reportedly displeased with the PM upon taking resignation from him.
However, speaking at a tv show, Ghulam Sarwar said that he believes Imran Khan has taken the decision of cabinet reshuffle for the betterment of Pakistan.
I will play where the prime minister wants me to play, he said, adding that he cannot be displeased for any position or ministry.
Ghulam Sarwar further said he tried hard to bring the Petroleum Ministry out of crisis but when Imran Khan was reshuffling ministers, he said he wants me to be in his team.
He told the prime minister that he is honoured to be a part of his team.
He said that he joined the PTI for its corruption-free parliament and corruption-free government.
The PTI leader further said that he has a relation of respect with Asad Umar, adding that he was unhappy over his resignation.
Ghulam Sarwar said that he had offered Asad Umar to take Petroleum Ministry a few days ago. Asad Umar should not have refused taking an alternate ministry, he said.
He further clarified that there is no grouping within PTI.
“We all are united and our leader is Imran Khan,” he said.
