Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) announced to join tree plantation drive launched by the government across the district.
BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Sep, 2018 ) :Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) announced to join tree plantation drive launched by the government across the district.
Principal of the school, Riffat Jabeen along with teachers and students planted saplings at the premises of the educational institution.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that tree helped us in overcoming rising air pollution.
"Air pollution has caused spread of diseases at large scale and as a result of it, thousands of people are suffering from disease, especially those belong to respiratory system of the body," she said.
She added that trees also help in rising temperature and said that presently, the world had been facing a a major issue of global warming.
She urged teachers and students must participated in tree plantation drive underway in the region.
