Governor Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Raja Jala Hussain Maqpoon Lauds Services Of Police Force

Governor Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Raja Jala Hussain Maqpoon on Friday appreciated the services of police force, saying that it was effectively performing its role to protect life and property of citizens
ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2019 ) :Governor Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Raja Jala Hussain Maqpoon on Friday appreciated the services of police force, saying that it was effectively performing its role to protect life and property of citizens.
He expressed these views during a briefing given by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sanaullah Abbasi on issues pertaining to tourism police in GB.
He said police played a key role in establishing durable peace and evolving harmony and brotherhood in the region.Serious efforts were underway to resolve problems facing the police department, he added.
The Governor also hailed the vision of Federal government to set up a separate police force for tourism sector to provide security and facilitate tourists, adding this initiative would help boost tourism activities.
Later, he also inspected vehicles of the tourism police along with the IGP.
