Governor Inaugurates 12-day Anti-measles Campaign In Balochistan

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Oct, 2018 ) :Governor Balochistan Justice (Retd) Amanullah Khan Yasinzai on Saturday inaugurated a 12-day anti-measles campaign, which will continue in the province till October 27.

Children under five years of age were administered anti-measles vaccination Saturday in Quetta city in the presence of governor. Minister of Health Balochistan Naseebullah Marri was also present on this occasion.

The governor directed the administration to complete the anti-measles campaign successfully and said that no child in the province should remain deprived of anti-measles vaccination.

Secretary Health and other officials told the governor that 2.14 million children aged from nine months to five years across the province would be vaccinated under the campaign, which was launched in collaboration with UNICEF and the World Health Programme.

Later, the governor distributed the gifts given by Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing, among the school students.
