Governor Punjab Visits Hospital, Inquires About Health Of Quetta Blast Injured

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22th August, 2016) : Governor of Punjab, Rafiq Rajwana, on Monday visited the Aga Khan University Hospital and inquired about the health of the lawyers who had sustained injuries in the recent bomb blast in Quetta. He was informed that after the discharge of the remaining patients, 11 lawyers are still under treatment at the AKUH.
The health of these lawyers is improving. They were identified as Ayub Tareen, Muhammad Ikramullah, Dr. Gul Zareen, Muhammad Abbas, Naveed Qambrani, Shabbir Ahmed, Zameer Ahmed Jhalghari, Naseebullah, Muhammad Salahuddin, Mashooq Ali and Abdus Sattar. Governor Punjab appreciated the AKUH management for the treatment of the injured and also lauded the role of the civil society.
Later, talking to media he said that the entire nation is united against the menace of terrorism and that the terrorists are destined to fail. Governor Punjab said that a number of lawyers had embraced martyrdom in the recent blast in Quetta.
He also lauded the struggle of lawyers' community against terrorism. Replying a question about the law and order in Karachi, he said that the situation is much better now. Rajwana said that the way the Government of Sindh is working, the law and order situation would improve further. He was accompanied by PML-N's Ali Akbar Gujjar, Advocate Abdul Wasay Khan Kakar, Mir Hassan Abbasi, Azhar Shandari and Tufail Virk.
