Govt Prefers To Approve Laws Protecting Public Rights: Asad Qaisar

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2018 ) :Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said as a speaker he would prefer to approve such Laws and Ordinances which were ensuring the fundamental rights and beneficial for the general public.
Talking to a private news channel, he said when he was speaker in Khyber PakhtunKhwa (KPK) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led provincial government made record legislation and approved 172 new laws.
The Speaker said, " The biggest inspiration for me is the personality of Harzat Muhammad (PBUH) and his teachings for people, patience, brotherhood and humanity".
As a custodian of the House, he said it was his responsibility to run the house in a balance way and give equal time to both treasury and opposition, besides instructing the members to maintain parliamentary traditions while expressing their views.
If anybody violated the rules of the house and parliamentary traditions, he said, action would be taken against him.
Replying to a question regarding which political personality fascinates him, the speaker said Prime Minister Imran Khan was the most inspiring personality because of his straight forwardness, truthfulness and honest approach towards Pakistan and its people.
He further said Imran Khan had God gifted abilities to lead and handle the situations in difficult times, adding he had great hope that Imran Khan would take the country out of crisis and put it on the path of progress and prosperity.
Responding to another question regarding expenses of the National Assembly, he said the government was taking austerity measures to reduce the budget of the house as twenty per cent of the total budget of the house had already been reduced.
