Govt Shah Latif Girls College Wins Table Tennis Tournament

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th August, 2016) : Government Shah Latif Girls College Latifabad won the final of Inter-Collegiate Independence Day Table-Tennis Tournament after thrilling battle with Government Nazareth Girls College Hyderabad by three-two here Saturday. The tournament organized by Friends Table Club held at the sports hall of the Government Nazareth Girls College in presence of large numbers of students. In the first set, Sidra Falak of Government Shah Latif Girls College defeated Aqsa Shaikh by 11-9, 11-5 and 11-7.
In the second set, despite resistance from Misbah Shams of Government Nazareth Girls College, Sonia Shah registered the team lead by 2-0 defeating 9-11, 11-8, 11-1 and 14-12, however, in the third set, Nida Shah of Government Nazareth Girls College defeated Sahiba Rasheed and put the game score 2-1.
In the reverse single, Aqsa Shah of Government Nazareth Girls College defeated Sonia Shah by 11-7, 11-9, 9-11 and 11-4, however, the last set of the tournament went in favour of Shah Latif Girls College when Sidra Falak registered straight victory against Misbah Shams by 11-7, 11-5 and 11-5. Regional Director Colleges Hyderabad Manzar Imam who was the chief guest gave the winning trophy to captain of Shah Latifabad Girls College Sidra Falak while the winner's trophy was received by skipper Government Nazareth Girls College Hyderabad Misbah Shams.
