Govt To Address Public Issues On Priority: Shibli Faraz

Leader of the House in Senate, Senator Shibli Faraz on Monday said that it was government's utmost responsibility to carry out legislation with focus on public good and raise issue of direct concern for the people
Presiding over meeting of the PTI allied parties in the Senate, he said that government was sincerely making efforts to overcome challenges, that hamper the development process, a press release said.
He said, "as legislators we have to play active and robust role to raise public issues and address them through legislation." The meeting discussed at length the strategy for current Senate Session pertaining to different legislations and other important matters.
Members of the committee also put forward their suggestions to bring dynamism in the debate and discussion of the House.
Leader of the House stressed upon the members of the ruling coalition to ensure their presence during the Senate session.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Khan said that government placed the Senate in high esteem and it was equally important House. The committee appreciated the remarks of the Minister.
The meeting was also attended by large number of Senators of PTI and its allied partiesin the Senate.
