ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2018 ) :Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Accountability Shehzad Akbar Wednesday said the government would continue the difficult process of accountability as the details about the looted public money of Rs 700 billion would be shared with the media in due course.
The government had information about the looted public money which was stashed in different countries, which would be back to Pakistan, he said talking to a private news channel.
He said legal process was under way to bring back looted money from abroad. Agreements had been signed with ten countries.
It was a cumbersome process and would take time. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government, he said, was, however, determined to make efforts as it was the mission of Prime Minister Imran Khan to hold the corrupt accountable, he added.
The SAPM said the government would protect the interests of overseas Pakistanis. The business community would be facilitated for boosting economic activities in the country, he added.
Replying to a question, he said the cost of power generation in the country was high due to expensive plants set up by the previous governments.
