Govt To Launch New Projects For Small Farmers: Minister

LAHORE, Jan 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : Provincial Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development Asif Saeed Manais has said the department is planning to initiate new projects in collaboration with the PLDDB to facilitate small farmers in the province.

He was talking to a team of the Punjab Livestock and Dairy Devlopment Board (PLDDB) while Provincial Minister for Labour Raja Ashfaq Sarwar was also present. The minister said the government had focused on facilitating small farmers and that's why the PLDDB had started many projects to cater this community.

Saeed Manais said the PLDDB's Fodder Research and Development Cell project was directly associated with the livestock feeding which would resolve fodder shortage in the province and would give a solution of low-cost animal feeding.

The minister admired the initiates of the board and advised the team to accelerate working on genetic improvement project for better milk and meat production in the province.
