Govt To Take Steps For Facilitation Of Pilgrims During Hajj 2019: Minister

Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony Noor-ul-Haq Qadri Tuesday said the ministry was planning to arrange an international Hajj Council meeting in Islamabad to resolve the problems faced by the pilgrims (Hujjaj) during Hajj.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Nov, 2018 ) :Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony Noor-ul-Haq Qadri Tuesday said the ministry was planning to arrange an international Hajj Council meeting in Islamabad to resolve the problems faced by the pilgrims (Hujjaj) during Hajj.
He said this while addressing a consultative workshop for 'Hajj policy 2019' arranged by Hajj Organizers Association of Pakistan (HOAP) here at a local hotel.
Minister said the Federal government was taking measures to resolve all the problems faced by Pakistanis Hujjaj during Hajj from Pakistan to Makkah.
He said the ministry would arrange workshops in all seven directorates across the country and then will give practical shape to recommendations. He said that medical fitness and knowledge were must for a pilgrim. He stressed upon private tour operators to arrange maximum trainings for pilgrims before Hajj.
The minister said that he was in contact with Civil Aviation Authority and other attached organizations to facilitate Hujjaj during flights and allow them to carry maximum luggage.
"It is the government of change and we will encourage who will serve well", he said. He warned that no one would be tolerated in ministry or tour operators to be found involved in cheating public.
He said the 2019 Hajj arrangements would be far better than past as Pakistan government was in contact with the government of Saudi Arabia.
Later, talking to media the minister said the government has signed agreement with Tehrik-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLB) and will follow the agreement.
Responding to a question, he said that TLP has agreed to take action against those who were involved in sabotage activities in the name of TLP during protests.
The workshop was attended by Senior Joint Secretary, Zeenat Hussain, Director Hajj KP, Shakil Shethi and representatives of Hajj organizations.
