Govt Tries To Pass Less Burden On Low Income Group:Dr Farrukh Saleem

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :The Spokesperson of government on Economy and Energy, Dr Farrukh Saleem on Monday said that all important steps would be taken to pass less burden to low income group people.
Keeping in view the economic situation and rising circular debt issue, the present government would increase the tariff in power sector, he stated while talking to a private news channel.
We will try to provide incentives to export sector, he added.
To a question he said it is inevitable to increase the rate in electricity units.
Due to previous governments policies, the people would have to bear high tariff rate. He said that high tariff had been introduced in two projects including Quaid-e-Solar project and Coal plant project.
The measures have been taken to avoid line losses while the action would be taken to control power pilferers. The smart meters would be introduced to control power theft activities in the country, he said.
To another question he said that audit would be held in power sector to have knowledge about rising circular debt issue.
