Growers Advised To Start Berseem Cultivation

FAISALABAD, Sept 23 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Sep, 2018 ) ::The agriculture experts have advised the growers to start cultivation of Berseem (Trifolium Alexandrinum) immediately and complete it by mid of October.

According to a spokesman of Agriculture (Extension) Department, Berseem is one of the most important fodders of winter season which is used to feed mainly cattle and milk buffaloes.

Therefore, the growers should cultivate its approved varieties including Sargodha-Ageti, Sargodha-Paccheti, Faisalabad-Paccheti, Super Berseem, Anmool and Misri, Masqavi, etc. to get bumper crop.

Last week of September and first half of October are the most suitable time for cultivation of Berseem. Hence the farmers should start its sowing immediately and complete it up to 15th October, he added.
