GTex International B2B Textile Machinery Brand Expo Opens

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -27th Sep,2016) : A three-day GTex International B2B Textile Machinery Brand Expo organized by Global Enterprise, opened here at Expo Centre on Wednesday. Pakistan Engineering Council Chairman Engineer Jawed Qureshi and MNA Kiran Dar jointly inaugurated the event, while Global Enterprise CEO Mujib R Siddiqui, Naeemuddin of United Machinery, Kamran Abbasi and other exhibitors were also present.
First time in Pakistan,the world's first fully automatic jeans manufacturing machine was displayed by United Machinery at the expo parcipated by 97 companies with 399 brands, and 67 foreign delegates from European countries and China.
The chief guests visited various stalls and appreciated efforts of organizers to bring new technology through this event. Talking to media, Engr. Jawed Qureshi said that government should join hands with the private sector to organise such shows for boosting exports, besides making TDAP (Trade Development Authority Pakistan) more active and helpful in this regard.
The business community should be facilitated and offered incentives for more investments as well as provided with cheap electricity for which the government should focus more on hydel source for power generation, he maintained.
While, MNA Kiran Dar said the government was now making stringent efforts to facilitate investors of all sectors.
Talking about the event, Global Enterprise, winner of 'Brand of the Year Award' in Event Management, CEO Mujib R.
Siddiqui said that GTex International B2B Textile Machine Brands Expo was the largest and the most successful event of its kind in the region which after a continuous efforts and developments of 16 years had become one of the world's best sourcing platform in Pakistan.
"More than 15,000 vistors are expected during three day expo which will continue till Friday," he added. He asserted GTex offered a very specialized audience trend with a unique and attractive opportunity to meet up different industry experts and professionals with a live combination of vast machinery range.
This provided a right platform for match-making and showcasing the entire world's latest innovations and technology, he noted. Pakistan textile and garment industry was clearly moving towards higher value addition, and the sector giving much attention towards digital textile printing.
"Gtex is the international show for textile digital printing and screen, including textiles and garment highlights and the latest innovations showcase in the world," Siddiqui said. Gtex exhibition was very important for all textile and garment sector to meet the ever growing demands to meet European GSP Plus status for value addition, he cocluded.
