
Hamza Leads Falcon FC To Stunning Victory In PAF 8-A Side Football League

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : Hamza led Falcon FC to a stunning solitary goal victory against Kingsmen Club in the final of the Pakistan Air Force Eight-A Side Football League-2016 played under the aegis of Directorate of sports PAF Sports Control board Committee at its premises on Tuesday. Group Captain Asghar Awan, Director PAF Sports Control Board Committee, was the chief guest on this occasion.
Organizing Secretary Flt. Lt. Inam Ullah Khan, former Pakistan team skipper and Coach Najeeb Ullah Najmi, large numbers of spectators were also present and witnessed the thrilling match fought on rattling pace. Although the match was decided on solitary goal scored in the dying moments yet the performance of the forwards from both sides were excellent because of making incisive rallies of attacks which were largely enjoyed by the football enthusiasts. It was the first session when Kingsmen Club made combine inroads as a result the attempt of the center strike Murad went wide from the goal-post.
Five minute later another when combined attack was made by right winger Suhrab but they were failed to score due to spectacular save by Falcon goal-keeper Ibrahim. On the other hand, Falcon club also started attack on the rival defence and some beautiful inroads were also witnessed by their forwards failed to score any goal at the end of the first session. It was the second session in which both Falcon and Kingsmen Club forwards raided on each other territories with some beautiful moves but none of the move could be materialized due to poor handling, specially in the danger zone. It was only in the dying moments when Falcon slammed in a beautiful goal through left-winger Hamza on the field attempt.
The goal was scored in a quick succession, gave no time to Kingsmen Club goal-keeper Imran to stop and thus Falcon won the prestigious event organized for the first time only to promote football in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Earlier, Kingsmen FC got first position in the group-A and remained unbeaten with six points, Banana C got second position in the same group, followed by Group-B with Sir Alex got first position, followed by Dictators-B, in the group-C XDS got first position, followed by Falcon United SROS and in the group-D Dictators-A got first position in the group-D and Peshawar United remained at second. Kingsmen played against Dictators-B, the runners of group-C in the first semi-final and secured 3-2 victory in the penalty shoot-out before the two teams played a goalless draw while in the second semi-finals Falcon United stunned Peshawar United by 2-0 in a one-sided affairs. At the end, the chief guest Group Captain Asghar Awan gave away trophies and cash prizes to the winners and runners-up teams.
Hamza of Falcon Club was declared as best players of the League-2016 who scored 7 goals by playing a key role in Falcon winning the title. Speaking on this occasion, Asghar Awan said that the tournament would be organized regularly so that the game of football could be promoted at the club level.
He said tournament was organized purely on professional way and all out facilities have provided to the players. He also lauded the efforts and cooperation extended by the Club management for making the event a success. He also appreciated the organizing Secretary Flt. Lt. Inam Ullah for best organization of the tournament.
