Hangu Police Nabbed 7148 Suspects Including 355 POs In 2018

Hangu District police have apprehended 7148 suspected including 355 proclaimed offenders in the 1097 search and strikes operations conducted by the district police in the year 2018, said a spokesman of the police here on Tuesday.
Releasing annual report of the Hangu Police for 2018, he said that search and strikes operation were conducted as part of the National Action Plan (NAP). The police have initiated action against 25 facilitators for giving shelters to the anti social elements. Similarly seven Afghan national were arrested for overstay and action taken against 72 under Tenancy Act.
The 355 POs arrested who were wanted in murder, attempt to murder, terrorism, kidnapping for ransom, extortionists, dacoities, robberies and attack on police parties.
The police have also nabbed 1140 drug addicts and 144 narcotics dealers and recovered 294 kg Charas, six kg opium and fifty bottle liquors.
The seized explosive included 36 kg explosives materials, 105 Kalashnikovs, 14 hand grenades, 37 fuses, 81rifles, 145 guns, three Kalashnikovs, one sten gun and 20040 rounds of various boresof weapons.
