Hanif Abbasi Shifted To Attock Jail After Photos Leaked From Adiala Jail

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd September, 2018) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi was shifted from Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail to Attock jail on Saturday.
The incarcerated PML-N leader was shifted to Attock jail on the directives of DIG Rawalpindi after his photo surfaced with Nawaz Sharif and others inside Adiala jail before the former premier's release.
Later, a search operation was also conducted in the Adiala jail. Jail sources said that a search operation is under way in all barracks.
Two photographs released on social media showed Nawaz Sharif with brother Shehbaz Sharif, Sardar Mehtab Khan, Murtaza Javed Abbasi and Raheel Munir. Another photograph showed Hanif Abbasi sitting beside Nawaz Sharif in the jail superintendent’s office.
After the photos surfaced, an inquiry committee was formed to investigate into the matter.
Abbasi, is serving a life sentence after his conviction in the ephedrine quota case.
