HBL Hands Over Rs. 5 Million Cheque To VC MUET For Scholarships

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2018 ) :The Chief of Habib Bank Limited Hyderabad Region Samihuddin Jatoi Wednesday handed over a cheque of Rs. 5 million to Vice Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam Uqaili in order to grant scholarships to deserving male and female students of the university.

Addressing the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor eulogized the financial assistance of HBL adding that the amount would help the deserving and outstanding male and female students of the university to carry out their higher learning education through scholarships.

He thanked all those organisations, students and philanthropists who had granted donations for disbursement of scholarships to deserving and outstanding students adding that such confidence upon university management was indicating that donations were being utilized in right direction.

Besides donations, the Vice Chancellor informed that the faculty members, officers and employees of the university were also pooling share from their salaries every month, adding that the scholarships are being granted to deserving and outstanding students on merit.

Among others, the Registrar Prof. Dr. Abdul Waheed Umrani, Director Finance Munir Ahmed Shaikh, Director Admissions, Agha Faisal and Area Manager HBL Jamshoro Ghulam Shabbir Narejowere also present on the occasion.
