Health Minister Pays Surprise Visit To Liaquat University Hospital Jamshoro

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Oct, 2022 ) :Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho paid a surprise visit to Liaquat University Hospital, Jamshoro district, on Friday to inspect the services being provided to the flood affected people.

The minister said the hospital in addition to its regular duties was also supposed to provide healthcare services to the flood-hit farmers.

Talking to the media after her visit, the minister said she was satisfied with the medical treatment being provided to the patients and that the medicines were also available.

The way the number of patients were increasing this hospital was a blessing for the people, she said.

She told that she had visited the LUH to see how the doctors were coping with the catastrophic situation.

The minister observed that LUH in Hyderabad and in Jamshoro were the biggest tertiary healthcare providers in the province outside Karachi and these hospitals were taking the highest number of flood-hit patients.

Earlier, Dr Pechuho visited the wards and OPD of the hospital and expressed dismay over the lack of cleanliness.

The doctors informed the minister that the hospitals have shortage of staff.
