Heavy Weights Lose Election In DG Khan

Several heavy weights lost in general elections held on July 25 in Dera Ghazi Khan, including former chief minister Punjab and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and son of late president of Pakistan and ex federal minister Awais Legahri.
DG KHAN, , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2018 ) :Several heavy weights lost in general elections held on July 25 in Dera Ghazi Khan, including former chief minister Punjab and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and son of late president of Pakistan and ex Federal minister Awais Legahri.
PTI's Muhammad Khan Legahri defeated Shehbaz Shrif from NA-192 by bagging 80, 522 votes while latter could get 67, 608 votes while PTI's Zartaj Gul won from NA-191 by securing 79,817 votes while PML-N candidate Awais lehgari got 54,548 votes.
Former Chief minister Punjab Dost Muhammad Khosa and PML-N MPA Abdul Aleem Shah were deafatedby an independent candidate Hanif Khan Patafi from PP-289.
Patafi bagged 35,389 votes which are the highest number of votes got by any candidate of provincial assembly in the history of Dera Ghazi Khan.
