The overloading of children in school and college buses has also been banned.
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th October, 2018) The Lahore Traffic Police has made it compulsory for all the passengers on motorcycle to wear a helmet.
Wearing a helmet has been made compulsory for all the passengers on a motorcycle, whether man or woman.
On the other hand, the overloading of children in school and college buses has also been banned.
The Punjab government has declared it mandatory for motorcyclists to wear helmets and has introduced fines to be imposed on those found violating traffic laws.
Traffic police officials have said that the use of helmets is mandatory for motorcycle drivers and that action will be taken against those violating the law without any discrimination.
Last month, the Lahore High Court (LHC) made it compulsory for the motorcyclists to wear a helmet while those not wearing a helmet are fined Rs 1000.
Following the court orders, the City Traffic Police had launched a crackdown against the motorcyclists for violating helmet rule in the city.
