Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th March, 2019) Czech model Teresa has been awarded eight-year sentence to jail for smuggling heroin to United Arab Emirates (UAE) after facing a prolonged trial in Pakistan.

The Sessions Court announced the verdict against the Czech model in Heroin smuggling case.

The court ordered an imprisonment of eight years and eight months besides a fine of Rs 113,000.

The 21-year-old model Teresa, belonging to Czech Republic, was taken into custody for Allama Iqbal International Airport in January, 2018 when she attempted to smuggle 9 kg heroin to United Arab Emirates.
