HESCO To Ensure Uninterrupted Electricity Supply During Sehri And Iftari Timings

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2019 ) :Chief Executive Officer of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) Abdul Haq Memon said the company would ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity during Sehri and Iftari timings in Ramadan.
Addressing a press conference at the company's office here on Sunday, Memon informed that there would be no load shedding for the domestic consumers from 2 am to 6 am in the morning and 6 pm to 11 pm in the evening.
He said an emergency control room had been set up to receive and address complaints without delay.
"HESCO will ensure that the power outages don't occur during Sehri, Iftari and Taraweeh," he assured.
According to him, HESCO was facing a shortfall of over 100 Megawatt as the company was receiving around 800 MW from the national grid against its requirement of over 900 MW.
He apprised that the number of HESCO's consumers was over 1.1 million while the company owed Rs. 34 billion in payables to the consumers.
Speaking about the line losses, the CEO told that 109 electric feeders out of 480 in the company's jurisdiction had shown a 20 percent decrease in the line losses.
Memon said the company would launch a crackdown against the power theft for night cricket which was done specifically in the month of Ramazan during night hours.
Other senior officials of the company were also present on the occasion.
