HESCO Urged To Avoid Load Shedding During Sehri, Iftari

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2018 ) :Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan has asked Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) to avoid load shedding during the timings of Sehri and Iftari.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, MNA Syed Waseem Hussain, MPAs Rashid Khilji, Sabir Qaimkhani, Zubair Ahmed Khan and Dilawar Qureshi deplored extended power outages in Hyderabad. The legislators pointed out that the power outages during the month of Ramadan especially during Sehri and Iftari hours caused great distress to the Muslims observing fast.

Pointing to the complaints regarding inordinate delay in repair or replacement of the transformers, the lawmakers said the HESCO takes several days to address such complaints. They also complained that HESCO's staff was responsible for delay in repair or replacement of the transformers.

The MNA and MPAs have requested Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and the power minister to take notice of the issue. APP/zmb/abd
