HESCO Urged To Update Power Distribution System

The Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tuesday emphasised the management of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company to replace the outdated power distribution system in order to ensure smooth and save transmission of electricity to consumers.
The Vice President HCCI Pir Syed Mehmood Iqbal Jaferi said that old HT/LT lines and shabby poles are not only posing great threats to the lives of citizens but also causing power stealing, a press release said.
He underlined the need of laying new HT and LT lines as well as installation of new poles so that the consumers could not face any inconvenience or threats to their lives as a result of outdated distribution system.
He also expressed his grave concern over unannounced load shedding and issuance of detection and excessive bills to consumers and demanded the high ups to resolve these grievances being faced by the consumers.
The HESCO management should avoid delay in provide commercial connections to industrial areas so that the industries could carry out production and manufacturing in smooth direction, he added.
He said the business community is the major consumer of HESCO and paying the electricity bills regularly in time therefore the issues of traders and industrialists should be resolved on priority.
