Highest Percentage Of Voters From Punjab Polled Vote For National Assembly

The highest number of voter turnout in the poll held as part of general elections-18 on Wednesday was from Punjab where 55.09 % voters had cast their votes for the National Assembly's 146 constituencies.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2018 ) :The highest number of voter turnout in the poll held as part of general elections-18 on Wednesday was from Punjab where 55.09 % voters had cast their votes for the National Assembly's 146 constituencies.
According to the official data compiled by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) through the Dashboard on Friday, the overall turnout of voters for the 270 National Assembly seats was 51.78 %.
The lowest turnout of votes polled was from Balochistan with 45.21 % where 14 Constituencies of the country's sovereign legislative body existed.
The second highest percentage of vote cast was in Sindh where polling with 48.11 % was held on 61 seats while on the third highest amongst the four provinces was Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the ratio of vote cast was 45.
52 % on 47 (including 12 seats of former Federally Administered Tribal Areas - FATA) National Assembly seats.
In Punjab 148 is the number of National Assembly seats while polling was held on 146 seats as the ECP had postponed polling on two of its constituencies like, NA-60 and NA-103 thus making the tally to 272 general seats, where election is held to elect by direct and free vote in accordance with law. On NA-60 (Rawalpindi ) the polling was postponed due to conviction of a contestant while in NA-103 (Faisalabad) poll was postponed following alleged suicideby a contender.
