Hindu Community To Celebrate Diwali With Simplicity

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Oct, 2016 ) : Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Minority Affairs Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan Wednesday appealed to the Hindu community to celebrate Diwali with simplicity to express sympathy with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the terrorist attack on Police academy at Quetta.
In a statement issued, Dr.Jeewan said that special prayers would be organized in all worship places of minority community for the sovereignty, prosperity, unity and security of country. He said minority communities stood with fellow citizens in this time of sorrow and grief.
He elaborated that brotherhood and interfaith harmony was the key to country's socio-economic development.
He emphasized that it was a need of the hour to work together for eliminating terrorism from society.
"A terrorist has no religion; they are the enemies of humanity. People belonging to all religion are united to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country", he added. Dr. Jeewan has said that minority communities always stood side by side with armed forces and thousands of Jawans from Christian, Dalit, Hindu and Sikh community were also serving shoulder to shoulder with Pak Army to defend the motherland.
