Holding Of Free,fair Election Priority: Hasan Askari

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2018 ) :Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari Wednesday said that holding of free, fair and peaceful election is the top priority of the caretaker setup and people will be given full opportunity to use their right of franchise in a congenial environment.
He said that environment of peace was imperative for the promotion of trade and economic activities and it was also necessary for promoting investment and opportunities of employment.
He said all necessary steps were being taken to further improve the general situation of law and order and added that a strategy had been devised to provide a peaceful atmosphere to voters during elections.
Maintenance of peaceful atmosphere was the responsibility of the government so that citizens could cast their vote and the caretaker government would fulfill this responsibility in the best of manner, he said.
Dr Askari said that all necessary steps were being taken according to framework of the Election Commission to hold peaceful and transparent elections.
He said that conducive atmosphere would be ensured for polling so that voters could use their right of franchise without any fear.
The latest technology was being utilised to maintain law and order in the society, he said and added that every body would have to play its role to promote tolerance, brotherhood and patience.
"The responsibility of free, fair and transparent elections will be fulfilled and we would succeedby the grace of Almighty Allah", he concluded
