Hotel Sealed Over Unhygienic Condition

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th August, 2016) : An inspection team of Health and Food Department Islamabad on Wednesday partially sealed a hotel in Sector I-10/1 due to unhygienic conditions.

According to the spokesman of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, campaign against adulterated food items has been intensified and the inspection teams are conducting checking of hotels in various sectors.

During the last week, the teams conducted 173 inspections of food outlets and submitted challans against 26 unhygienic food outlets in the court.

In all, 56 notices were also issued to the food outlets for failing to comply with food and hygiene laws and 30 samples of food items sent to laboratory for analysis.

ICT Administration has directed food outlets to ensure vaccination of workers and compliance of hygiene rules failing which strict action would be taken against the violators. Meanwhile, Drug Inspector Islamabad conducted three inspections of drug outlets and directed the drug stores to ensure compliance of drug laws.
