HR Invites Minorities To Attend NMSF

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th july,2016) : Minister for Human Rights Senator Kamran Michael Tuesday invited minorities to attend National Minorities sports Festival (NMSF) whic will be started from August 7.
The activities of the festival would be held in Sports Complex, Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad. The four-day moot will continue till August, 11. The events had been arranged in connection with National Minorities Day being celebrated in the country on the August 11 annually. National Minorities Day got official recognition in 2009 by the efforts of former Minister of Minorities Affairs Shehbaz Bhatti who was killed on March 2, 2011.
The minister directed to form a committee to oversee the event and facilitate the participating teams, an official of Human Rights ministry told APP. Categories in the Minorities Sports Festival include football, cricket, basketball, body building, athletics, badminton and tug of war.
Participants interested to take part in the festival are encouraged to get their registration free of cost till the July 30 through contacting provincial or Federal offices of the ministry.
