Human Rights Ministry Launches Helpline To Provide Legal Advice

The Ministry of Human Rights has launched helpline-1099 to provide free legal advice with regard to inherent property, said an official of MoHR.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Nov, 2018 ) :The Ministry of Human Rights has launched helpline-1099 to provide free legal advice with regard to inherent property, said an official of MoHR.

This helpline will specifically help women in seeking legal advise regarding their inheritance issues under Islamic jurisprudence and the Constitution and women will also feel more secure through this helpline.

He said that ministry of HR shares some suggestions for inheritance issues to educate people about the religious and legal protection provided to women right to inheritance in the country.

The Articles 23 and 24 of the 1973 Constitution furnishes complete details regarding matters of inheritance and provides clear guidelines regarding women's rights in this regard, he added.

Article 23 of the 1973 Constitution states: "Provision as to property. Every citizen shall have the right to acquire, hold and dispose of property in any part of Pakistan, subject to the Constitution and any reasonablerestrictions imposed by law in the public interest, he said.

The official said Article 24 is about the protection of the right to property and states that no person shall be deprived of their property in accordance with law.
