ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Augst,2016) : The Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq,in occupied Kashmir, has appreciated the people of the territory for their passion of freedom. The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar questioned as to how long India could close its eyes to the realities of the Kashmir dispute and subjugating the Kashmiris,Kashmir Media Service reported.
He said that the use of excessive force and unleashing brazen violence on the Kashmiri people would not help New Delhi in any way. He maintained that these oppressive tactics would not be able to break the will of the Kashmiris or force them to give up their struggle for securing their inalienable right to self- determination.
The spokesman said that the people of Kashmir were not against the Indians to celebrate their freedom.
However, he said, at the same time, we want to remind that it was the Indian leadership that had come to Kashmir and promised the Kashmiris that they would be given the opportunity to decide their fate by themselves through a plebiscite.
However, the Indian leadership not only reneged on their promise, the government of India started brutally killings people just for demanding their basic right, he deplored.
