Hyderabad Electric Supply Company Launches Campaign To Recover Outstanding Dues

Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) Nawabshah Circle has launched a campaign to recover 780 million rupees outstanding dues from power consumers
The Executive Engineer HESCO Insaf Ali Birohi while talking to newsmen at Nawabshah Media Center, said that recovery could enhance if government and police department cooperate with HESCO authorities.
He said that HESCO has registered seven FIRs against power thieves while hundreds of complaints are lying pending with concerned police stations.
Insaf Ali Birohi said that consumers of Sakrand Sub Division and Daulatpur had paid back just Rs.
2.2 million against electricity bills amounting Rs.10 million.
Regarding imposing detection on electric bills, the Executive Engineer said that detection was imposed on consumers found involved in power theft, use of direct connection and using shunt in electric meters.
He said that large number of connections were disconnected at shopping centers and commercial shops at Qazi Ahmed, Sakrand and Daulatpur towns of the district while action had already been initiated against HESCO staff involved in power theft.
