HYDERABAD, Jan, 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jan, 2017 ) : The Inspector General of Police Sindh A.D. Khawaja while taking serious notice over the death of a female student of University of Sindh has asked the DIG Hyderabad to submit a detailed report into the matter.
According to police sources, after receiving such instructions, the DIG Hyderabad Khadim Hussain Rind along with SSP Jamshoro Tariq Wilayat Monday visited the Marvi Hostel of University of Sindh Jamshoro and got detailed information about causes of the death of student Naila Rind, a final year student of the Department of Sindhi.
Later, talking to media persons, the DIG said that preliminary investigation though revealed that the death was the result of suicide, however, investigation is underway with consideration of all angles.
A three member committee headed by a police officer of high rank has been formed by the police and soon the factual position of the case would come to surface, he added. Meanwhile, the heirs of deceased Naila Rind have received the body after completion of medico legal formalities in Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad.
However, Nisar Rind, the brother of deceased Naila Rind had alleged that autopsy of his sister was carried out in absence of the heirs while her cellular phone and other goods were also missing.
While expressing doubts over the conduct of autopsy as well as no confidence over university management and local police, Nisar Rind has demanded the conduct of enquiry into the death of his sister through honest police officers.
