IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Directs For Foolproof Security Measures On Eve Of Christmas

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Salahuddin Khan Mehsood has directed police high ups to adopt foolproof security arrangements for Christmas celebrations across the province and thwart any untoward incident.
The IGP in a special circular issued here, directed the Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) to ensure peace and harmony on the eve of Christmas.
The regional and districts head of police had been asked to visit each and every Church in their respective jurisdiction and adopt stringent security measures for it in their own supervision.
The senior cops had also been directed to arrange meeting with the Bishop of Churches and work out a well planned calculated strategy for the Christmas events with their consultation.
Scan all routes leading to Churches with the help of Bomb Disposal Unit and sniffer dogs as well as make best use of services of Elite force, Rapid Response Force, Special Branch, Frontier Reserve force which will be at their disposal for special duty on this occasion.
In case of suspicious persons and unattended bags, the matter be brought immediately into the notice of concerned police high ups so as to avert any mishap in time.
The IGP categorically made it clear that no one would be allowed to disturb peaceful atmosphere and directed police high ups to make arrangements for live electronic coverage of Christmas programs, install moving camera on police vehicles on duty and effectively monitor the Christmas events.
