KARACHI, Aug. 29 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2017 ) : Inspector General of Police (IGP - Sindh), AD Khowaja on Tuesday announced to raise the funding for Police Training Centers functional in the province.
Addressing the 158th passing out parade of Police Training College, Shahdadpur, he said efforts are being to ensure that quality of training and capacity building of fresh recruits as well as those already in-service be strengthened on scientific lines.
"Training imparted at different centers of the provincial police department is also being streamlined on structured basis," he said. The police chief said particular focus is being paid to enhance the professional capacities of young cops in handling modern days challenges in terms of terrorism and modified modes of crime.
IGP - Sindh said not only inductions in the department are being made on merit basis but performance is also adopted s the major criterion for departmental promotions. "It is extremely critical to ensure that professional integrity of the personnel associated with the department may not be compromised under any condition," said AD Khowaja.
Reiterating that Sindh police is committed to ensure quality services to the citizens, he said restoration of public confidence has to be the top most priority for all those associated with the department.
