IGP Sindh Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam For Strict Security On Shab-e-Baraat

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam on Friday directed the police officials to ensure foolproof security and smooth traffic flow across the province on the occasion of "Shab-e-Baraat" besides initiating crackdown against sale, purchase and use of firecrackers
The IGP asked to take extraordinary measures to prevent any untoward incident on the occasion of the religious event, said a press release.
Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam instructed for enhancing security around all religious places of congregations including mosques, shrines and Imam Bargahs while visitors at the graveyards should also be provided full security.
He also asked to ensure sweeping and clearance of all important places by the Bomb Disposal Squad at police stations level.
The Sindh police chief also ordered to increase patrolling, random snap checking and picketing and to ensure effective intelligence collection at police stations level.
All the Station House Officers (SHOs) and Section Officers (SOs) were directed for ensuring increased security and smooth traffic flow in their jurisdictions concerned.
He also issued directives for keeping bomb disposal squads on alert.
