LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Nov, 2017 ) :Inspector General of Police Punjab Capt (r) Arif Nawaz Khan has said modern courses should be arranged for officers to improve level of investigation methods and adopt modern and updated investigation techniques to complete investigation into cases with transparency.

Addressing a meeting on the subject of Investigation at Central Police Office on Tuesday, he said that to enhance efficiency of officers and staff of homicide unit, all available resources should be utilised and promotion of scientific based investigation keeping in view the modern technology should also be focused.

The IGP directed Addl IG Investigation Abu Bakar Khuda Bakhsh to supervise the progress of investigation offices of homicide unit of all districts and submit a report in the next session on Dec 15.

Additional IGP Special Branch Punjab, Faisal Shahkar, Additional IGP Investigation, Abu Bakar Khuda Bakhsh, Additional IGP Training, Tariq Masood Yasin, DIG Training Waqar Ahmad Abbasi and other senior officers also attended the meeting.
